OUR ATTORNEYSJohn
LaDuca
Hi I am John. I have been practicing law since
1968 in the Greater Rochester area. I have
represented clients in every court from the
highest New York Court (the Court of Appeals) to
village and town courts.
I have been involved in hundreds of trials
from serious physical injury (death / murder) to
minor matters. For the past +30 years I have been
a partner in a law firm bearing my name. My son,
Anthony, and I have been partners for the past
several years upon his graduation from law school
in 1994.
We take great care helping our clients and
preparing their case. A client who places their
trust in our hands in the pursuit of their legal
matter can be assured that we will return their
calls, answer their questions, keep them informed
of the status of the case, and provide them our
best all the advice and effort possible to insure
a successful conclusion to their matter.
We would never guarantee a result, but we can
assure you we will give you our best and you will
not regret the trust you placed with us.

Anthony LaDuca
Hello, I'm Anthony! Before I talk about my
legal accomplishments I would like to tell you a
little bit about my life. You see, if you're
taking the time to carefully choose an attorney,
then you should know the person behind the title.
I have lived in the Rochester area my entire
life. I've been happily married for over 10 years
and my wife and I have three great kids: John,
Hannah, and Jared. My family, friends, and my
work are all very important to me. Most of my
closest friends I have known since junior high
school. I have continued to stay in contact with
many of my clients long after their case is
resolved.
Now about my legal career. I graduated from
Capital University Law School in 1994 and was
admitted in practice law both in the Federal and
New York State courts in the beginning of 1995. I
initially started working in both the civil and
criminal fields. It wasn't long before I narrowed
my focus to solely representing injured clients.
I have designed a professional office equipped to
help my clients in everyway. We have spent an
enormous amount of time and effort learning a
computer software system
âneedlesâ specifically
designed for managing every aspect of a civil
practice. Currently only 2 other firms in
Rochester us this advance system.
I recently hired Karen; simply put, all our
clients deserve access to someone with her skills
and knowledge. Karen and I work together with the
client to develop a wealth of understanding of
both the medical and human aspect of the client's
injury. We know who the most respected local
physicians are and we are extremely active
directing our clients to a successful recovery.
My philosophy to settle cases is simple, know
your client; know their injuries, know the
strengths and weaknesses to the case, research
histories of similar cases and values when
necessary, then negotiate to get what your client
fairly deserves. My last 10 cases in 2004 amount
to a gross recovery of over 4.5 million. I've
never met a client that wanted to go to trial
that's why I make every effort to try and resolve
our client's case. When adjusters do not
negotiate fairly, our client can feel confident
that we have been very successful at trial. In
fact, I have found that for many cases over
$100,000 the defense waits until a trial date
approaches to see if the plaintiff's counsel is
prepared and ready to try the case before a fair
settlement is offered.

Karen Cobb-Otto
Hi, I'm Karen. I have been a registered Nurse
since 1985. As a registered nurse my work was
predominantly in Orthopedics and General
Medicine. I was in the United States Air Force as
a Lieutenant in a medical division form 1987 to
1990.
Prior to working with the LaDuca's I spent 8
years insurance defense work as Nurse Paralegal.
As a Nurse Paralegal my main duties involved:
evaluating and analyzing medical records;
locating medical experts, preparing experts for
trial testimony, working extensively with clients
in preparation for depositions and trials, act as
liaison for clients between medical and legal
communities, and evaluating cases for settlement.
If the saying âthe best offense
knows how to play defenseâ is true
then my many years working in the insurance
industry has prepared me well for helping the
clients of the LaDuca Law Firm.
As a member of the LaDuca Law Firm team my main
job is to work closely with the clients during
their recovery, making sure that the recovery
goes as well as possible and our clients' rights
are protected. I also review all medical records
and discuss clients medical continuously with the
LaDuca's.
